the parents are abraham and ava sexton. they are brother and sister and got "married". they created a life together and lived under the guise of being highly religious as a reason to become so secretive. they homeschooled the children and the children were birthed in the home with the aide of a midwife so to not be faced with the possibility of their secret being exposed. the children do not know how the parents met, they claimed to have met through church and they claim that her entire family has passed. though their entire family knows their secret shame.
the farmhouse they live on and the land as well has been owned for a multitude of generations, all having their own secrets held near and dear to them.
